It is estimated that the worldwide Muslim population will
increase to
1.6 billion in 2015. More than 80% percent of those Muslims will have
their native tongue something other than Arabic. It is every Muslim's
right to be able to at least read the book he or she believes in.
In the next 7 years, we, at Quran121.org, wish to scale our capacity
to teach 1% of the non-Arabic Muslim population, that is, 16 million
Muslims, to learn the Arabic Qur'an properly, online, in their home,
offices or even mosques and madrasas, or any place they can access
the Internet from.
The teachers will comprise of paid and volunteer men and women
distributed around the world in call centers which will have the sole
purpose of teaching the Arabic Qur'an. If executed properly, it will
be a massive operation to serve a dire need of teaching the Arabic
Qur'an to every Muslim young or old, male or female, poor or rich.
This is lofty goal but with the state of technology, and the love of
Muslims for the Holy Book, it is very doable.

Quran121.org is a global service which is made possible through
highly innovative technological developments in the Internet. These
innovations have increased the quality and availability of worldwide
audio-visual communication, and decreased the price to a level that
such communication is almost free. Such technological developments
make it possible for us to provide FREE Qur'anic lessons to those who
wish to read the Qur'an properly.

Quran121.org's services are best suited for the parts of the world
where people have access to telephones and computers, but it is
difficult for them to find trained and dedicated Qur'an teachers. Even
when Qur'an teachers are available, conducting in-person, one-to-one
classes are, oftentimes, cost and/or time prohibitive.
We plan to accomplish our passion for teaching the Arabic
Qur'an to
anyone and everyone by engaging a mix of volunteer and paid
teachers, and by soliciting donations.

Important note
for the US donors: We are NOT a tax-exempt, 501c(3)
organization at this time. So please do not plan to write-off your
donations in 2008. We will let you know when we have achieved the
tax-exempt, 501c(3) status.
